A day to commemorate the life and legacy of a global icon, who embodied the spirit of Ubuntu and selflessness. As I dedicated my time to serving the Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital (CMJAH) community, I couldn't help but reflect on the values that Madiba and Charlotte Maxeke shared - a commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others. The Enduring Legacy of Charlotte Maxeke As I volunteered at the hospital, I was reminded of the remarkable life and legacy of Charlotte Maxeke, the pioneering South African leader and activist after whom the hospital is named.
